Heather + Eric : part 1

Heather and Eric were married a few weeks ago with a lovely evening ceremony. They had enough forethought though - they scheduled a combo engagement/bridal/bride & groom session a few weeks before the wedding, so we'd have plenty of daylight and time to do them justice :) I'm so glad they did! They now have LOTS of portraits of them together as bride and groom, and they day of their wedding wasn't rushed or hurried to try to fit them in before it got really dark outside.
We met at Forest Park, and they brought their new addition to their growing family:
this is Lisel. she's adorable. and very tiny.

oh my.

I couldn't resist grabbing some portraits of her, but then back to business :) We did their mini engagement session:

then a quick change and we took some bridals of the lovely Heather:
I LOVE her dress - the lace is so delicate and looks very vintage [and very me :)]

another 'oh my.' she also has a weakness for shoes - I feel for her :)

the lace looks gorgeous in black and white, but her eyes are electric turquoise! I had to keep it in color.

such a handsome groom :)

favorite!

I really like this one - it reminds me of a portrait from the 20s - classic :)

The End! Next up is their beautiful and elegant wedding :)

Debra :: Bridals

I was so excited for this shoot, anxiously awaiting the day. Then it rained. BUT - it's a Trash the Dress, and her ceremony is long over, so a wet ground made no difference to her! Plus the dark sky made for some nice, moody images.

I love this!

I love a bride that's not afraid to lay down in the grass :)

"hey look! the sun came out! hurry - go stand over there!"

i LOVE this one!

. . .now for the fun stuff!

yep. fearless.

another favorite!

preeeeettttyyyy light.

bubbles in a body of water kinda gross me out, but I wasn't in the water so I didn't care - they look cool :)

The End! Thanks for the fun afternoon Debra!

Mandy

Mandy and Travis's wedding was about a month ago, and a few weeks ago we did Mandy's bridal session without worry of getting her dress dirty :) We took the photos on her family's property on a truly gorgeous day - one of the last of the year. Here are a few:

this one's a definite favorite!

hmmm . . .lots of black and white :) she has such a vintage look, it just feels right!

no - this one's my favorite :)

this is very 1920s - perfect for her look, I think :)

Thanks Mandy for the great afternoon! Best of luck to you and Travis!

Cassi

Cassi [one of my October brides] decided to have a bridal session, and I'm soooo glad she did! I love bridal sessions - they give me a chance to play with unexpected locations and have a nice relaxing time to get lots of great shots with just the bride. The weddings all about the bride anyway, right? She should get lots of attention :)
Here's a few from her session [no worries - she assured me her fiance never goes online]

When I pulled up, I was greeted by this guy - Paisley. He must've known I'm a dog fan, and he was super-friendly :) so cute!

I was so excited to see this location - abandoned, falling-down houses are my favorite!

This is what she looked like between shots - always laughing :)

so pretty!

another reason to play with bridal sessions - fun shoes!

This one's my favorite - I love bringing my pink chair along! It was starting to sprinkle, but the clouds just made the grass and trees extra green. Just beautiful :)
